At House of Oak, we pride ourselves on ensuring a streamlined, stress-free process. We have a variety of delivery options and partner only with reliable and trustworthy shipping providers, ensuring our customers stay updated and informed every step of the way.

Our Standard Delivery Service
Our standard delivery service operates Monday to Friday and includes delivery to the room of your choice. A two-person delivery team, either from our company or a courier service, will bring your items into your home and place them in the desired room, provided access allows.
If delivery is required above the second floor, please call or email us in advance, as we cannot guarantee delivery to your room of choice without prior confirmation.
For any extra services, please read the information below and select the extra options you require at checkout.
There are additional charges, which are set out below.

Delivery Times
Here are our typical delivery lead times:
- In-Stock Items: Our standard delivery time for in-stock items is within 7 to 14 working days. For large, heavy, or fragile items, our couriers will contact you to arrange delivery.
- Remote Postcode Areas with Delivery Surcharge: Please allow an additional 7 to 14 working days for delivery.

Delivery Surcharges
If you live in the following postcode areas, a surcharge of £45.00 (incl VAT) applies:
AB, DD, DG, EC, EX, FK, IV, KA, KW, KY, LA, LD, LL, PA, PH, PL, TQ and TR
Delivery Is to Mainland UK Only. If you require delivery offshore, we can deliver to a Mainland UK shipping depot of your choice.
If the furniture is delivered outside of the UK mainland by whatever means and you wish to return it, it is your responsibility to cover the costs of returning the item(s) to the dispatching warehouse.
We also offer an unpacking service for an additional £25.
Saturday Delivery
Our Saturday Delivery Service is available for an extra £49.95 (including VAT). This service is not available in areas with “Delivery Surcharges.” To opt for Saturday delivery, check this option during checkout, and a member of our Customer Service team will reach out to arrange a suitable delivery date.
Please note that delays may occur depending on stock levels and delivery area. We will do our best to accommodate all requests.


Day-Specific Delivery
For an additional £40 (including VAT), we offer a Day-Specific Delivery Service, allowing you to choose a preferred delivery day. Please note this service is not available in areas with “Delivery Surcharges.” To select this option, check it during checkout, and a member of our Customer Service team will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery day.
Be aware that delays may occur depending on stock levels and delivery area. This service is available Monday to Friday only and is for a specific day of the week, not a specific date; we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Unpacking Service
We offer an unpacking service for £25.00, which includes delivery to the room of choice, unpacking, and removal of packaging. Please keep the packaging for any potential returns, or use your own packaging if the delivery team has already left your home. Check your furniture before the packaging is removed. If you notice any issues with the product, inform the delivery team while they are still at your property.
Assembly of Products
Some furniture items require assembly due to their physical nature and packaging. If you wish to confirm whether assembly will be needed before ordering or delivery, please call 01484 865505 or email info@houseofoak.co.uk.
If you would like assembly services during delivery, please select the assembly option at checkout. Our delivery team can handle this for you; additional charges will apply.
Failed Delivery Charge
Please note: If a delivery date is booked and agreed upon with us or one of our delivery partners, and you are unable to accept the delivery on the agreed date/time without notifying us 3 working days in advance, or if delivery fails due to no one being at the property to accept it, we will incur charges. These charges will be passed on to you: £40 per item for re-delivery or £40 per item to return the goods to our warehouse.
Check The Furniture Will Fit
To ensure the best possible service and avoid damage to your home, our couriers will only deliver items that can be safely carried into the room where you need them. Please check that your furniture will fit into the intended room, including any staircases, doorways, or tight spaces. If the furniture is returned to us because it cannot be delivered to your home, the original delivery charge will be deducted from any refund or exchange.

Domestic Distribution - Platinum Plus Service
Our delivery partner, Domestic Distribution, offers a Platinum Plus Service for all deliveries. This includes a call, text, or email to advise you of the delivery date and a 4-hour delivery slot. The service also includes a two-man delivery team to place your items in the room of your choice and a call 30 minutes before arrival.
Domestic Distribution will attempt to book the delivery with you three times. If these attempts are declined, the goods will be returned to House of Oak, and failed delivery charges will apply. Failed delivery charges are £60 per item or the cost of delivery, whichever is cheaper. Delivery costs are provided by Domestic Distribution, not by House of Oak. House of Oak will be charged these delivery costs if a delivery fails, including instances where the failure is not due to the fault of Domestic Distribution or House of Oak.
Terms & Conditions
Small items are delivered via Parcelforce. If no one is home, a card will be left with instructions for redelivery or collection from your nearest depot. Our courier service will attempt delivery up to two times and leave a calling card if no one is available. To rearrange delivery, please contact the courier firm (Domestic Distribution) directly or call our Customer Services team at 01484 865505.
If the courier service does not hear from you within 5 days, your order will be returned to our warehouse, and you may incur a re-delivery charge.
