About Our Family Business
We've been supplying beautiful oak furniture for over 25 years now, since 1999. Still run by the same family that started it all, we've maintained our dedication to quality and personal service throughout our journey. We're rather proud of the relationships we've built with customers who keep coming back - and bringing their friends and family too!
We're delighted with our customer reviews! People particularly appreciate our solid oak furniture with properly jointed drawers and quality construction throughout, our helpful team, and our professional delivery service. Many customers have furnished multiple rooms with us over the years and regularly recommend us to others. As one customer put it: "quality furniture that they sell" - and that's exactly what we aim for.

There's nothing quite like seeing and feeling our furniture in person! You can run your hands over the oak grain, test the smooth drawer runners, and truly appreciate the quality that photos simply can't capture. Plus, you can browse at your own pace without being bothered - our team are there when you need them but won't hover. As many customers tell us, it's "well worth a visit" to see our extensive range across all our showrooms.
We've got a vast selection on the ground floor that's fully accessible. However, as we have multiple floors across our showrooms, not all areas are wheelchair friendly. Give us a ring on 01484 865505 before your visit if you have specific accessibility needs - we'll make sure you have the best possible experience.
Absolutely! We offer plenty of free parking for our customers. There's a car park to the rear of our showroom and roadside parking bays as well. Parking can be "fun" on busy weekends, but there's always a spot to be found.
Our Furniture & Quality
Every piece is built to last, with solid construction and properly jointed drawers using quality materials throughout. Our furniture features substantial, well-made construction, just as it should be. Some pieces feature beautiful pre-distressed finishes for that rustic charm, making each item completely unique to your home. It's furniture that becomes part of your family's story.
Of course! Whether you're starting with one room or doing the whole house, our knowledgeable team will guide you through everything from bedroom furniture to living room pieces. We'll help you create a cohesive look that flows beautifully throughout your home. Many customers start with one room and keep coming back - there's something rather satisfying about that!
Looking After Your Furniture
Looking after your oak furniture is straightforward - just follow our complete care guide:
- Wipe spills straight away with a soft, damp cloth (oak's porous and drinks up moisture!)
- Always use coasters, placemats and tablecloths - prevention's better than cure
- Keep furniture away from direct sunlight to avoid bleaching
- Don't place pieces next to radiators or air con units - wood doesn't like extreme temperatures
- Only use cleaners made specifically for hardwood furniture
- Pop felt pads under furniture on hard floors, coasters on carpets
Leather's a brilliant investment that actually improves with age when treated well. Regular treatment with proper leather cleaner is essential - don't use ordinary cleaners as they can cause permanent damage. Check our furniture care guide for full details on keeping your leather looking lovely.
Turn your new mattress every few weeks for the first six months to prevent settlement and help it adjust to you. After that, monthly turning is fine. Memory foam? Just rotate, don't flip. And please - no jumping on the bed! It damages the springs and invalidates your warranty. Look after your mattress and it'll give you years of brilliant sleep.
Delivery Information
Standard delivery across most of mainland UK is just £25 (including VAT). This includes our two-person delivery team bringing your furniture right to your room of choice. Certain remote postcodes have a £45 surcharge - we'll let you know at checkout if this applies to you.

- In-stock items: 7-14 working days
- Remote postcode areas: Add another 7-14 working days
- Made-to-order pieces: Approximately 4 weeks (worth the wait, we promise!)
We've got several options to suit your needs:

Check our delivery options for full details.
Please make sure someone's home! If you miss the agreed delivery without giving us 3 working days' notice, there's a £40 per item charge for redelivery or returning goods to our warehouse. Our delivery partners will contact you to arrange a convenient time, so there's really no excuse for missing it!
That's your homework, I'm afraid! Please measure doorways, staircases and any tight corners before ordering. Our delivery teams are brilliant, but they can't work miracles. If furniture has to come back because it won't fit, we'll have to deduct the original delivery charge from any refund.
Good news - most of our products come fully assembled and ready to use! Some of our larger items like beds, wardrobes and dining tables require minimal assembly, but we always highlight this in the product descriptions on our website. If you'd like help with assembly, it's available as an extra service with delivery - just select it at checkout.

That's the beauty of natural wood! Each piece has its own character with unique grain patterns and colour variations. Some items feature pre-distressed finishes for that lovely rustic feel, so no two pieces are exactly alike. We think that's rather special - your furniture is truly one-of-a-kind.

Buying Guide Questions
Start by measuring your space carefully - include doorways for delivery! Consider your lifestyle: busy family life needs durable finishes, while child-free homes can choose more delicate pieces. Think about colour - light oak brightens small rooms, dark oak adds drama. Visit our showroom to see different styles and get expert advice.
Allow 60cm width per person and 90cm around the table for chairs. For 4 people: 120cm x 80cm minimum. For 6 people: 150cm x 90cm. For 8 people: 200cm x 100cm. Extending tables offer flexibility - compact daily but expand for entertaining. Our guide helps you choose perfectly.
Oak's versatility means it works with any style! For modern homes: pair with grey, white, and metallic accents. For traditional: add warm colours and soft textures. Mix oak with painted furniture for interest. Don't match everything - variety looks more designer. Visit our showroom for styling inspiration.
We have great products year-round, but look out for seasonal sales and clearance events. End of season (August for garden furniture, January for general furniture) often has best prices. Our 0% finance means you can spread the cost anytime. Sign up for our newsletter for sale alerts!
Measure all doorways, hallways, and staircases - don't forget to include skirting boards and radiators! Check ceiling height on stairs for tall items. Measure diagonally for large pieces. Remove doors if needed. Our delivery teams are experienced but can't squeeze furniture through impossible spaces. When in doubt, call us with measurements.
Oak vs Other Materials
Oak is a hardwood that's incredibly durable and long-lasting - perfect for furniture you'll keep for decades. Pine is a softwood that's lighter in weight and colour, often more budget-friendly, and brilliant for children's bedrooms as it can be easily painted. Oak typically costs more initially but lasts much longer. Read our full oak vs pine guide.
Oak and MDF serve different purposes. Oak is solid wood - durable, repairable, and improves with age. MDF is engineered wood - more affordable but less durable and can't be refinished. For investment pieces you'll keep for years, oak is superior. For temporary solutions or painted furniture, MDF has its place.
"Best" depends on your needs! Oak offers exceptional durability and classic beauty. Walnut is luxurious but pricier. Pine is budget-friendly and easy to paint. Mahogany is elegant but expensive. For the perfect balance of quality, durability, beauty and value, oak is hard to beat.

Oak is excellent for furniture! It's one of the hardest, most durable woods available. It resists scratches and dents, handles daily use beautifully, and actually improves with age. The attractive grain adds character, and it takes stains and finishes well. Perfect for pieces you use every day.
