Sarah Stoker

Shop Sarah Stoker art prints at House of Oak. Yorkshire woodland scenes, wildflower meadows and countryside landscapes in watercolour, acrylic and alcohol ink.

Sarah Stoker is a Yorkshire-based artist whose work captures the quiet beauty of the English countryside. Her paintings pull you straight into sun-dappled woodland paths, misty reservoirs and meadows thick with buttercups and bluebells. She works across watercolour, acrylic, alcohol inks and ink, and there’s a warmth to her palette that suits oak-furnished rooms perfectly.

She’s not just a painter, either. Sarah trained in textiles and ceramics at Barnsley College before specialising in ceramics at Carlisle. She won Young Designer of the Year in 1989 and received a Prince’s Trust grant to set up her own pottery studio. More recently, she reached the semi-finals of Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year. But it’s her connection to the Yorkshire outdoors that really comes through in the work. Ancient woodlands, evening light filtering through birch trees, wildflower-filled lanes. She paints what she sees on her daily walks and it shows.

Every print in this collection is available in a range of sizes, with optional framing in earthy greens, greys and whites that sit beautifully alongside solid oak furniture. If you’re after artwork that feels like a window into the Yorkshire countryside, you’ve found it.
