About Our King Size Oak Beds
A king size bed gives you 5ft (150cm) of sleeping width, offering noticeably more room than a standard double. For couples who value space, or anyone who just likes to spread out, it’s a worthwhile upgrade that transforms how you sleep.
Our solid oak king size beds combine that extra space with real craftsmanship. These aren’t flat-pack frames that creak after six months. They’re built from genuine oak with proper joinery, designed to last decades.
Choosing the Right King Size Bed
Before ordering, measure your bedroom. A king size bed needs a room at least 3.5m x 3.5m for comfortable movement around the frame. Allow 60cm clearance on each side and at the foot.
Storage beds make sense if space is tight. Drawers built into the base replace the need for extra bedroom furniture, keeping bedding, spare pillows, or out-of-season clothes tucked away.
Low foot-end beds suit smaller rooms or those with furniture at the foot of the bed. The lower profile creates a more open feel without sacrificing frame strength.
High foot-end beds offer a more traditional, substantial look. These work well in larger bedrooms where the bed is the focal point.
